Is it rude to ignore unwanted messages from men?

I'm in a relationship, but I still get a lot of messages from men (usually on Facebook, I don't give out my number). They're innocent messages, usually just a "hey" or "what's up" but in my mind I assume they're messaging me with a certain intent. So rather than have to turn them down, I just don't answer their messages. Is that rude?

I ignore them and if they're kind of creepy I just dont reply and then I unfriend them

It's been my experience that ANY response, even a negative one, causes a lot of men to keep trying or pester you. Ignoring is the safest bet if you want them to leave you alone.

I absolutely ignore them and then if they send me more than two I will delete them. Unless i know you I will not reply to your message. Before I was with my fiancé I had this guy message me and basically ask me to make porn with him ._.

Who cares if it's rude? Just tell them you're not interested and if they don't get it then block them

I hit yes but I really meant no. Unless they're coming to me with a direct message about something not just hey what's yo wanna chat, I ignore it. I don't like having a bunch of male friends, so I don't want to be their friend and I obviously don't want anything else since I'm in a relationship so there's no point in me replying.

If they are friends then yeah its rude. If it's random guys, it is still a little rude but understandable. It is nice to at least acknowledge their greeting and if the conversation steers into a direction that's inappropriate tell them you're sorry but are uncomfortable conversing with them any further. If it comes to it, block or report them on whatever social media site it is or have their number blocked through your phone company. Not all guys have devious intentions.
