How soon is too soon to get married?

To me, it's not about how long you've known the person because things are different when you're in a relationship. Friendship is just part of a relationship. So things change.

It's more about how long you've been together, in my opinion. To me, I think you should be together as a couple for longer then 6 months before getting engaged or married.

We've been together 4 months and are engaged and getting married next year. It doesn't take years and everyone is different. My parents met in June and married in July of the same year and have been together for 30 years

I met hubby 16 Oct 2000 and we got married 16 Feb 2001. 15 years later and 3 kids later I think we love each other even more than we did in the beginning. We knew we were meant to be two weeks after we met when we moved in together.

Marriage is not time related. You just know when you found the one you are going to marry. I always thought people were crazy when they would say "you just know" until inexperienced it for myself. It's crazy

I don't think it has anything to do with time, some people are ready after 6 months, some can be in a couple for years and still not be ready. It's more about timing in the first place, are you ready to open up yourself to another person and share everything?
Me and my bf almost eloped 2 months in, we changed our mind, but we know we'll get married eventually anyway and are looking forward to it.
I think it's more about being able to be honest and open with each other as well as knowing each other well enough. From his childhood pets to his biggest fears, you should know those things before committing. There's no time limit on that.
