Pregnancy after miscarriage

I had the unfortunate event occur on Christmas Day that I had a miscarriage. I have moved on emotionally and physically and ready to be pregnant again! Any one on here conceive soon after a miscarriage? Did you wait till after a period cycle to try? TIA
