Bottle fed preparation

Sam

Hey ladies congrats to all on either being pregnant or having a baby 😊

I have a question bout preparing a bottle. Years ago well 7 years I used to nanny for a baby I was taught ( after all steriliation clean area etc) boil the kettle leave for 30 mins then fill all the bottles for the day with the amount of water required then seal bottle and then add milk powder at time of feed heat through warmer if required or room temp then when feeding discard after 1 hour.

I'm now reading you must only add milk powder to boiled water that has called for 30 mins or it can cause bacteria to be present if not made up will water approx 70c. Then cool under cold water or jug of water.

Any advise? I will ask midwife too just thought I'd ask here x
