Hey guys, so my best friend is almost 15 and hasn't started her menstral cycle yet. She's going to get checked out by a doctor but she's really scared and I keep telling her stuff like this is normal but in all honesty I don't know if it's normal. How can I help her?

It's unpredictable when a spacific will start there period and a lot plays into it such as sports, diet, and stress level

I didn't start my period until I was 15 my friend didn't start until she was 16. It is very normal. She only needs to get checked if she doesn't have it by the time she's 18 and even then it doesn't necessarily mean that somethings wrong.

I didn't start my period until a month before I turned 16. There's alot of things that can cause that. Is she really active because I've known alot of girls who were active in sports seemed to start later.
