Shoul i let my daughter sleep at a hotel?

My 17 year old daughter who will be 18 in april asked me to let her go and spend a night at a hotel with her girlfriend because one of them is turning 18. Shoul d i let her go?

Hey, she asked right? My mother had so much trust with me because I never snuck around. She knew I was capable of making good decisions. Saying no to everything just makes a young person scared to be upfront and feel the need to sneak around. This could build a lot of trust between the both of you.

This isn't something strangers on the Internet can really help you with. If she's anything like me and my friends were, I'd say let her stay at the hotel. If she's anything like my sister and her friends, I wouldn't let her go.

The fact that she told you the truth about where she would be going is a big enough reason to allow her to go. She could've easily lied and said she was going somewhere she knew you'd allow her to go but she didn't. Let her go. I know several parents that would never allow their child to do things so their child ended up being rebellious.

Let her go or she will lie about it I did when I was 18( almost 19) with my mom she was very controlling and manipulative she didn't want me to be out and about I ended up moving out I wanted to be a young adult and make my own decision it is a good stepping stone have her make some decisions with you presences and guidance it will bond you all and she will come to you for advice

Well what my mom did with us was is you give them the chance to do it and if they screw up them never again till they are out of the house. I slept over at my ex boyfriends when we were dating when I was a sophomore in hs and my mom found out we had sex at his house and never again was I allowed to sleep over. So if she does things their that you wouldn't approve of and you find out about it then tell her that since she broke your trust she will not be allowed to do things like that till she's out on her own and in her own place.
