Just wondering if I should consider asking my doc for a membrane sweep. I'm 38 + 2 today & I got my cervix checked for the first time at my 37 week appt. & my cervix was still completely closed. She didn't even comment on whether or not it was softened or not . I'm just wondering if the sweep will help me dilate more? Or if it's really not necessary ? I don't plan on getting anymore updates about my cervix dilating unless I do get a sweep .
