Breast Pump via Insurance anyone?

Has anyone gotten their pump via insurance yet? Did you use areoflow to get approved. We have Highmark BCBS, like anthem wondered if anyone else has the same?

I just got mine! And we have the same insurance. We contacted the insurance company and they told us we needed to get a script from the doctor for the pump, then find a medical store that would comply with our insurance. They have a search engine on their site that shows you the closest medical supply stores that comply with them. I called a nearby store and made sure they had them in stock, went in, and walked out with an Ameda electric double breast pump 20 minutes later.

My insurance covers mine but I've been told that I need a prescription and they won't give it to me until after the baby is born. Not that I plan on using it right away but I'd like to have everything in order before my daughter gets here so that I  don't have to deal with it later. ...I guess one reason why they are doing this was because people were getting them for free then selling them online

I have BCBS, state employee though. I called my insurance and they gave me a list DME suppliers that I could order from. I went with Byram because I wanted the Spectra 2 and it was the only one that had it it. Filled out online order form and I received it 3 days later in the mail. No prescription needed from my doctor and I am not due until April.

Yes I went thru aeroflow. I have BCBS ppo! Got approved for starter pump plus six extra storage containers!!!

I went through aeroflow and it took about 5 days to process after I filled out the online form. I got the spectra 2

Called my insurance last week Cigna/Allegiance and was told I'm covered 100% for a breast pump up to $400 and any supplies other than the hands free bras are covered in as well just send the receipt/invoice with the prices on it and I will be refunded.

I have BCBS federal and just had to call them to order my double electric breast pump by Ameda.  They shipped it to me with all of the supplies,  including a 3 month supply of milk storage bags. They told me to call every 90 days and they'll ship me another 3 month supply. No need for a prescription on my end of things. These are supposed to be FREE perks of your insurance to encourage and promote breastfeeding.

I have BCBS and it said you have to have a prescription from your doctor.  Also, you can't order until 60 days before your due date.  In Massachusetts I was offered Medela or Ameda as the brands.
