Yes, temporarily, then you have to add them to make it permanent when you get the babies ssn, usually between 15 and 30 days. Something I didn't know and ended up feeling stupid about though, you will be charged another deductible for the baby even though they say the temporary insurance is "under the mother".

For our insurance we have 30 days from birth to add them to the policy. With my son I called right away and added him to be safe. Then when we received his social security number we contacted the insurance company again. We didn't receive his soc for over 45 days!

We will be paying an additional premium for each twin and yes you will have to pay an additional deductible for each child but your total shouldn't exceed your families out of pocket expense. A baby is usually around $800-$1000 for delivery without complications and after the insurance discount.
