Can someone offer friendly advice?

Alexis
In April I will have had my IUD for 2 years. Ever since I had it I have also had a period faithfully every month and slightly heavier than before I got it. After the first few months my doctor told me to wait for about 6 months and it should ease up if not stop all together. Well a year and nine months later i still have a period and my cramps are from Satan himself. I don't know if I should get it removed and try again or just try some other form of birth control. I hate the pill because I'm terrible with taking it on time ( i.e. the reason I got pregnant once). The shot was a no go (the weight gain was terrible on me). I thought about the implant but my insurance doesn't cover it. I need some advice.
