How to 'pretend' drink with a colleague?!

Help! I just tested + and have a work convention next week in Vegas!! It's too early to tell work so I need to figure something out.. I'm not worried about bars (I'll just go order my own) but we usually go to a restaurant and sit down at the table together/order from a waitress. How on earth will I figure this one out, I'll only be about 5 weeks :(

I drink Vodka so I cornered the barman and said anytime I order a vodka and lemonade, make sure it's a lemonade, I need too pretend I'm drinking. 
He said he gets asked to do this a lot....

Say your New Years resolution is to stop drinking for a while as a detox because you drank so much over the holidays. Worked for me!

I have the same dilemma coming up just bought a house and have a house warming party just found out I am pregnant I totally I'm nervous on how to cover this up!!! My husband will make my drinks n I'll just pretend lol

I had a similar situation last week. I got up to go to the restroom, grabbed the waiter and instructed him to make me virgin gin and tonics all night. The waiter thought ahead and placed me on my own bill. Another option would be to start complaining about how the Vegas dryness is giving you a headache when you arrive in Vegas and then your friends will be more likely to believe you when you turn down drinks later on for a headache.

I agree with the New Years resolution idea! You could also pretend you're on a medication that you absolutely cannot drink alcohol with or pretend you have a deal with someone that if you didn't drink while in Vegas then they'll give you a couple hundred dollars or something haha

My husband will be "ordering my drinks for me" whenever we're together (I drink vodka soda so it will be easy to fib). I'm going out with my girls this weekend so I'm just going to say I'm taking antibiotics and they make me really sick if I drink because if I just say I don't feel like it or I don't feel good I will get mad pressure lol

You could tell your waiter or waitress to make a note to make your drinks "mock drinks" where it's everything but the alcohol and to not announce that it's non alcoholic because you're keeping your pregnancy low key for now
