We don't take breaks like not living together etc but we both need our own space. I am not a social person, we are both gamers, we like to have our quiet gaming time or gaming time with our online friends. We live together, love each other and always will but we aren't always together we need our own space and the amount of time we spend together waxes and wanes and if anyone ever tells you he is not the one just because you don't want to spend every minute together then know they live in fairy tale land. Even in a serious long term committed relationship you need boundaries. We got a 2 bedroom place with a large basement so he could game in the basement and I'd have my own gaming room upstairs, we just work that way. You aren't always going to want to bone him either so if that is the break you mean then yes, we take breaks because we're just not always in the mood when the other person is etc. Now if you mean a break like not living together and dating other people no and yes. We are polyamorous and one day will have other relationships other than each other but we will always be the primary. That means we live together like normal but date other people sometime if we come to an agreement. So don't feel bad if you need space.
