Low soft cervix?

Okay so just finished my AF, waiting to ovulate. Took ovulation test today and it's negative. Checked cervix and it's very low and very soft, also feels closed. Swear this was meant to happen when ovulating or when pregnant? It's making me doubt whether in feeling my cervix correctly! No EWCM.

During AF & after, your cervix should be low and closed. Once your fertile window gets closer & during fertile window, cervix will rise and open.

So right now, your cervix sounds about right. When you conceive, typically your cervix will rise, but remain closed so no other sperm enters.
