Anyone else freak out just a little when your pregnancy symptoms stop for a bit?

Every time my nausea or breast tenderness subsides for a bit I worry that my HCG levels are moving in the wrong direction. I am 39, had a mc in 2008, and I work in the ER, so I have seen all the things that can go wrong in pregnancy. Ugh.

I had a miscarriage in September and am constantly evaluating my symptoms. With my miscarriage I had normal symptoms until about 8 weeks when they couldn't find a heartbeat. Now that I'm almost 6 weeks, I'm terrified if I'm not queasy. Can't wait for my appointment so I can find out if everything is okay.

Yes!  I miscarried in Nov weeks before I was even aware.  I had naucia that all of a sudden stopped and then later found out.  Of course in my mind I think that's why, but there's no real way to tell.  Have barely had any naucia this time around and don't have my ultrasound until 1/28.  But with my son (4 1/2) I wasn't naucious until 6 weeks...so who knows.  I'm not good at this waiting stuff! 😝

I am 39, 5 weeks, and think the exact same way as you.  I know the statistics... I hope my enjoyment begins after I get positive amnio results... a long time still.  I have to stay realistic.

I am going thru this right now. I am trying not to think about it but I am 40 and had 2 miscarriages last year.  So I am nervous as all get out!  On January 6th my hcg was good (163855) but until I hear the heart beat and see the wee one I will be a nervous. My first appointment is January 22.

My mom thinks I'm being negative when she asks if I'm excited, and I reply, "A lot can happen in 40wks; I'll be excited when my baby and I are discharged to go home." I tell her I'm being a realist. So much of this is out of our control. So I have my first sonogram on Friday, and I'm sure we'll draw some blood, and all I can do is wait. I am guessing that I have 32wks left. That's a really long time.
