PCOS with normal blood test results?

My doctor said she believes I have PCOS at my last appointment. My periods are every 21-35 days but not as regular as they should be.

My blood work all came back normal except my thyroid function is elevated.

Has anyone else had normal blood results but still been diagnosed with PCOS?

Hi for the first few years my blood work kept coming back normal then when I moved and went to a new drs, it came back high testerone Nd I was sent for a scan which diagnosed me. I told the drs not all PCOS is diagnosed with blood work. Request an ultra sound. I know it's hard and honestly it took me about 3 and half years to get the diagnosis. I hope it all works out as well as possible xx

My doctor actually told me PCOS can't be diagnosed from only one thing. That many things can be a symptom of multiple issues, and that diagnosing PCOS is more a process of elimination. The blood work is important not only to check your hormones for PCOS but also to eliminate other possibilities.

Yes! My bloodwork always comes back normal but they found it with an ultrasound

My bloods are the same all normal.except for elevated thyriod but i had a scan which showed small.cysts on my left ovarie which made sence i have a lot of pains on that side since my periods started getting lighter

Same. Normal blood work but ultrasound confirmed it. That and the fact that I can grow a beard. 😖
