Would you do it anyways or not?

My fiancé is a pretty private person. He doesn't tell anyone but his close friends ANY of his business. Well, we found out we were having a boy yesterday and he was so happy. We even did gender reveal pictures. But here's the thing- he doesn't want me to share them on any social media...ALL my friends and family want to know. The ones who I DONT have their numbers. It just makes no sense. He says he wants US to enjoy it for awhile. Which I don't get- I made the choice for us to find out just us three (him, me, and our son- so we could share that moment together). I'm so excited. My last pregnancy was with a douche bag boyfriend who cheated and I was miserable- nothing was exciting because I was so depressed. This time I'm actually in a good place, it was planned, and it's exciting.... and he wants me to be quiet about it? 😞 I've told my family and super close friends but I want to share it with everyone.

I hate it.

I'll put it this way. How would u feel if you weren't ready to share just yet and asked him not to and he went behind your back and did it anyway? You may not agree with him or understand him but I wouldn't go behind his back. To me that's sneaky. Keep talking to him or get the select few u wanna tell phone number n text it to them or privately message them on fb. Doesn't have to b ur wall give him some time.

Guess how much of this pregnancy we put on social media? 0%!!!  We know the name, sex, everything... But we are NOT putting anything on social media... If people are important in our lives they will know through email or text or by phone... I dont need highschool acquaintances or people sharing my posts about my pregnancy... And we have told everyone to keep it off there as well.. If they slip then they wont be told when baby is on the way..  Im with the husband... Dont ruin it for him

I'm a private person, don't even have facebook. I feel if you dont know how to contact me without social media, then youre really not in my life. I never understood why people post so many pictures of their children on the internet. That stuff is not private, it's not only shared to your "friends". Nobody seems to care about the child's privacy.

Aren't gender reveal photos meant to show everyone, to reveal the gender to everyone besides the mother and father? I don't get how sharing those keeps you from enjoying it. I don't agree with him not wanting to post it, but I would talk to him more about it instead of just doing it anyway so it doesn't cause any issues.

Ask the baby if it wants to be posted.... no response from the baby? Then hold off until the baby has a voice to say if it wants it's personal information shared with the Internet.

I definitely wouldn't post it without him agreeing I to ot. And maybe you two can enjoy it for a little while, then maybe post them. Give the excuse that to many people are asking what you guys are having.

I'm not putting anything on social media and my fiancé agreed. The ones who are important will know. Other than that, social media is a newspaper into your life for other ppl.

My SO is the same way. I posted it anyways. He got over it pretty quick and understood. He understood it was only because I was so excited about the news and wanted to share- not because I was disrespecting him. I'm sure your fiancé will understand eventually.
