After getting a IUD how long did your cramps last?

When I first got my IUD (paraguard), I experienced all sorts of interesting things for the first month. Not only lots of cramping but additionally I had never seen before vaginal fluids. After that. For the first year, I had very heavy periods and cramping. Now that I have had my IUD for just over a year, my periods have leveled out and are a little lighter than before getting an IUD.

I just got Paragard yesterday, and yesterday my cramps were absolutely terrible. Today the cramps have been significantly less painful than my regular period cramps.
