HgC increasing 2.5 weeks after miscarriage?
At my follow up appt they ordered blood work and it came back at 650.2 MIU/ML. The day before my miscarriage it was at 562.0 MIU/ML, and after my miscarriage it was at approx 450 and then approx 375 two days later (don't have those results but I remember it was in that range. I have had some odd bleeding the past few days - very dark and clotty, similar to the consistency of what I passed while miscarrying, but not as heavy and with hardly any cramping. I thought I was just getting my first period.
Has this happened to anyone else? There is no way I am pregnant again, we only started having sex again on Tuesday, the day before this latest elevated result.
Any advice or encouragement is greatly appreciated! They sent me for an ultrasound today, and the technician seemed very fixated on the right side of my uterus and my right ovary, taking a lot of pictures of the area from more angles than on the left, asking me if it was painful when she put pressure on it, and if my hgc levels "rose only slightly?" she didn't know the numbers, but she clearly saw something that led her to the correct conclusion.
I have a follow-up on Monday and I have to get blood work twice over the weekend in the meantime.
Ugh, I just can't believe this heartbreaking nightmare is not over yet... I was really starting to feel better and now we're right back in the thick of it. So disheartening!
