Did you have complications with an epidural?

Yes! :-/ I got mine at 5cm, but it wore off after an hour. Around 7cm, I kept telling them I could feel pain again (as if my ridiculous moaning loudly wasn't enough proof) and I was so out if it with the pain of contractions, but I remember hearing the anesthesiologist repeatedly say, "I just don't know then...I just don't know." Mofo, you BETTER KNOW, you get paid a hell of a lot of money to KNOW!! Anyway, he finally took the first one out and then said, "Oh, it was in your bloodstream, not your epidural space." Thanks, genius. -_- Once the second was in place, I felt so much better. I could still feel my legs and pressure to know when to push, but no pain. I will TRY to go without meds again this time, but will probably have another this time around and just hope it goes smoother.

None, it was wonderful!! My SIL on the other hand had a great experience the first time but the second one she shook uncontrollably. It was just a reaction and went away once the epidural was removed which she chose to wait until the baby was born to remove. She said it still took the pain away and that was way more important to her than stopping the shaking lol.

Epidural wore off when contactions were 1 minute apart, got it way too soon as requested by the nurses. They couldn't get it back right, so I felt everything, 29 hours of labor and over 4 hours of pushing.... 🙄 To this day, my entire back goes numb and gets tingly when sitting at an angle.

I've had one with all five of my deliveries, three were awesome and two were horrible. My first bad one was with my third birth. It was placed to high and made my chest numb and I couldn't breath. They couldn't prop me up because my blood pressure kept dropping. My second bad one was with my last delivery three months ago. The dr hit my spinal column and gave me a spinal headache. Mine hit pretty quick (usually hits between 6hr- 7 days after the incident), mine happened within 4 hours. If I laid flat I felt fine but if I sat up at all I got a pounding headache, dizzy, and muffled sounds. Thankfully they can fix it with what is called a blood patch. Unfortunately it has a greater chance to work after 36 hours from when the incident happened. I had to wait the 36 hours before they would perform the blood patch. Thankfully it worked the first try. They said it could still come back but mine didn't   
That being said, if I have another baby I would still get the epidural again :)

Yes. One of my legs was completely asleep for at least an hour after I gave birth. Twice it was very difficult to "place" with the needle  and they kept moving the needle around in my spine and I could feel it- that was terrible. The first epidural I had made me feel like I was going to pass out/black out when I had to push. It also made my blood pressure drop. I don't think they're too "amazing" personally.

I was given my epidural around 7:30am by the time 1:30 rolled around for me to push my epidural had completely worn off. I felt every contraction and him coming out. I'm kind of glad it did because I had control over my body the whole time I pushed.

I got the epidural and it worked wonderfully for an hour or two then started wearing off. So I pushed the button to give myself more meds but it didn't make it better. Eventually the doc came back and did a refill which also didn't work. So they took it out and did it a second time. Same thing. Worked for an hour or two then started wearing off and was no longer working by pushing time :(  I didn't have any other side effects it just didn't work for me.
