Weaning off estrogen & progesterone - when and how?

Question

What was everyone's protocol for when they got off their meds? I was instructed to stop cold turkey on January 25. No more del estrogen shots and no more progesterone suppositories.

I'm currently taking the del estrogen every third day and 4 suppositories a day. It makes me really nervous to just stop. I'll be 9 weeks and 5 days when I stop. I'm pregnant with identical twins. 😬

They had me stop estrogen cold turkey at 10 weeks (and it was amazing!). Then I did one day of 3 progesterone suppositories, then two days of two suppositories, then two days of one. 10w5d now and off all meds! WhooHoo!!!

I stopped everything at 10 weeks. No monitoring or anything and everything was fine. It's safe to stop because your placenta has taken over by that point.

They checked my blood levels and when my estrogen was right I went off at about 7 weeks. My progesterone I took until 11. They were both cold turkey and it's been fine! Actually, amazing because my skin is back to normal and I was doing the shots which were very unpleasant!

I stopped PIO and estrogen patches at 9 weeks. I'm now 21 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby girl💕
I was told that the placenta is established enough at around 9-10 weeks to create the estrogen and progesterone needed to support a pregnancy.

As you all know, IVF requires a lot of faith and patience as well as a lot of trust in your healthcare professionals to guide you.

I stopped cold turkey at 9 weeks. It was scary, but I trust that they've been doing this for many years with good outcomes. I even spotted for a week starting half a week after stopping the hormones. It was nerve wracking, but everything is looking fine with the baby.

I started weaning at 9 weeks. They had me cut my estrogen to every other day and my progesterone I was doing 2 a day, they had me cut to 1 a day for 3 days and then 1 every other day until 10 weeks when I finished them completely.

I'm pregnant with DI/DI twins after FET. I stopped all meds cold turkey at 10 weeks too. I was super scared and even asked the doctor if she should be monitoring my levels or something. I was assured it was perfectly safe as babies placenta was doing the work for itself now. Currently 25 weeks with two perfectly healthy girls!! It will be okay! I know how scary it is.

Hi there! I am pregnant with fraternal twins and will take my last estrogen shot tomorrow at 10 weeks exactly. They want me to continue the Crinone (progesterone suppository) until the end of the first trimester.
