Coconut oil for acne??

Question

I have horrendous acne since pregnancy hormones kicked in and it is still super early so it will only get worse! I usually use salicylic acid treatment but I have heard that is not allowed during pregnancy...I have heard that coconut oil works but seems like oil would make it worse 😕 Has anyone tried it and had success with it? I have combination, sensitive skin!

I've read that it doesn't get deep enough into your pores to be effective and is likely to clog them instead.

I wouldn't! Coconut oil can cause havoc in your face esp if ur acne prone. Eveb if it didn't cause acne it would do nothing to treat it. Try a alpha hydroxyl treatment instead

I have bad acne occasionally and literally coconut oil is the only thing that helped clear my face up. I think it depends on the person! My skin get dry really easily... The oils on your skin is what protects it! When you use harsh face wash and scrubs everyday, you are taking away that protective layer.

I LIVE for coconut oil. I use it on my skin, in my hair, and even put it in my green tea. I have very clean skin.

Use this. It's ay Walmart. It's what I use. It's 10% benzoyl peroxide so start off every other day while your skid adjust to it and make sure to moisturize. This is all I use now

Coconut oil can clog pores if you use it too much. I don't use it on my face. Definitely use acne medications when it comes to acne it's the safest that way. Or try African black soap if you have oily skin you can get it from Walgreens.
