Q- Sex week before placebos?

Question

Can you have sex during the last week of active pills before going on to taking the placebo pills? Just a little confused as I have heard to ensure full protection against pregancy whilst taking the pill you must take it perfectly before and after having condom less sex. What's confusing me is how are you being protected after having sex if you aren't going to be taking anymore hormones during the break week?

If you have taken all the active pills of that pack correctly your body will think it has already ovulated for that cycle, and will continue to do so through the break week.

If you missed pills in that pack, or did not start the next pack on time, you're out of luck during the break week and  the week after.

If you've taken the pills correctly that month then there are enough hormones in your body to protect you over the break week. You're protected all the time providing you take your pill right
