How to decide if natural birth or c-section?

Ladies-tell me how you decide.
Moms please describe what you experienced etc.
Moms-to-be: how do you decide if itd you first baby?  And i might add: you have the option of CHOOSINg what you want... !! Might be that some locations dont give you the choice but remember this place here is so international.

C-sections are surgeries. I don't want an unnecessary surgery. Pretty simple decision.

It was never something I had to decide on.  vaginal births are what our bodies are made to do and what I would like for myself. I'm more scared of an emergency c section than the pain of a vaginal birth.

I would never choose a c-section unless my baby ABSOLUTELY needed it. They come with a whole slew of different complications, and healing time is much much longer.

You don't, they have you do a vaginal delivery unless complications arise. Doing a vaginal delivery you are down 6 weeks after delivery unless there are complications. With a c section you can't even pick up your baby like bending over for them you have to basically stay bed ridden no heavy lifting and then cleared after 8 weeks. Vaginal is best unless of course the baby needs to be delivered by c section for a healthy safe delivery due to health complications. I've never heard of choosing for your first.

I had an emergency c-section with my first, and have decided to have an elective section this time around. I do not feel confident in my body's ability to labour (last was 47hours with no progression past 4cm and baby in significant distress. I almost lost her and my own life.) and do not like the risks associated with a VBAC. My midwife is fully supportive, especially after reading my notes from my last baby.

I'm 13 weeks pregnant with my first and am planning on having a natural birth with a midwife at a birthing center. ☺️

My dr asked me. She said she wanted to give me the option. I said natural of course with my first. Now with my 2nd I might need a c section depending on my Firboid if it's too close to my cervix but she said she will keep an eye on it and may be able to deliver natural. Which I hope I do. 🙂

I just don't want any side effects from any drugs and I don't want surgery so I'm doing it all natural.

I chose a csection and would do it again in a heartbeat. Went great and recovery was quick.
