Tough Topic: If you were faced with the choice of dating someone who was racially or religiously different than you - would you continue contrary to your families wishes?

I'm biracial and am curious as to where young women stand on the subject 💫

Personally, I have no issue dating outside my race... Some in my family had an issue to be honest, but my mother always said "everyone is someone's baby and you can't treat someone's child differently bc of skin color". Since learning that... I've yet to date inside my race ☺️

I've never had any issue with race nor religious/cultural background. Only reason I'd be against it was if it went against any of my personal moral beliefs, i.e. Dating a man who thought women should stay at home and not work would not be ok for me 
As for my family, they're not the nicest of people and I don't really agree with them much now, so their opinions aren't really that influencial to me

Religiously, absolutely not, as I have very strong morals myself. As for race, I luckily come from a family that would have loved any man I brought home as long as he loved Jesus - regardless of race.

Yes. My family was totally against me being with someone who isn't white and I ended up falling in love with a puertorican guy. Skin color means nothing to me ❤️

I'm Muslim and I date outside my religion all the time. I'm not really religious so it never bothered me. My mom didn't want me dating all together but you kno how life goes lol

I have never had an issue with it. My husband is both racially and religiously different than me. He's Lebanese and Muslim and I'm just plain white Christian girl. My father and both grandfathers had an issue with it at first because they were all 20 year retired war veterans but seeing how well he treated me and how much I loved him, made my dad at least changed his mind, and now they call each other all the time like best friends, But my two grandfathers did not, they don't approve but they are civil and tolerate him because they love me.

My boyfriend is white & is not a Jehovah's Witness like my parents want to be, but I continue seeing him. I think you should be able to control your life and what comes from it. Going through life based off of what others think you should do can hinder you in ways you'll hate. Always do what you feel is right!

Race isn't an issue in my family. We are all the same on the inside. Religion though I think would be a struggle to date someone that believed differently. I'm not against other religions everyone has their own opinion. Just for me personally to have more than a friendship would be a challenge I think.

My grandparents on my father's side are a little more traditional Chinese than the rest of my family so I was a little nervous on how they would take me dating a Caucasian guy but they took it really well. They always told me throughout my youth that I should try and find a nice "Chinese boy" one day so I was worried that they would feel let down but they were really awesome about it, I'm super thankful.

A religion is a more different topic. Ok not against it but I haven't tired it so who knows. And Ts I date outside of my race all the time
