Was labor better or worse then what you expected?

I had a natural labor and delivery and it was much better than I thought it would be. And I don't mean that in a crunchy new-age way, I just mean that I expected the pain to be absolutely excruciating, and it wasn't!

Postpartum on the other hand... no thanks.

Labor isn't easy, otherwise it'd be called something else! BUT give me labor over being pregnant and miserable any day. Pregnant with my third right now and getting a tubal because I can't stand the thought of being pregnant again. Labor I can handle. Right now I've never been more ready for the pain that comes with child birth! Bring on the labor pains!

I love giving birth and I was actually induced. My labor was way easier and better then my pregnancy.

Both better and worse. The contractions were HORRENDOUS. For me at least. And I had studied up on how to take them in waves and thought I was ready. No. I wasn't. 
Labor was not bad at all. I mean not compared to what I thought. I had a half way epidural. As in half strength. Pushing was super tiring but not awful. The head pushing through burned as I stretched. And then you have to push the shoulders out. After that everything just slides out. I had to get an episiotomy. And they didn't really numb me up. Soooo that sucked. But normally they numb you up more. All in all I don't remember that much pain just that it took ALOT of energy and strength. Once that baby is placed on your chest it all fades away. You're awestruck. In love. And infatuated with the tiny being that you carried for nine months. I don't even remember being stitched up. I just was captivated.
