Ethnicity

I decided to reword this since I accidentally said race instead of ethnicity and y'all wanna be rude instead of appreciate knowledge and opinion. I guess what I really meant was: Is it annoying that most of America doesn't actually recognize or know their own ethnicity. I feel like ethnicity is important. And when people ask you're ethnicity and you say "white" or "black", you're being ignorant by your own definitions. African American I feel like would be offensive since blacks aren't all from Africa.
