How many crib sheets do we need?

Question

Any experienced mamas out there to advise on the number of fitted crib mattress sheets they think is ideal? I have 2 mattress pads in case baby boy makes a mess and I figure at least another 1 back up sheet as well. I currently have a total of 3 fitted sheets and am wondering if I should return one or keep it? Insights are appreciated!

We had 3 and it was perfect. Our trick: lay down a puppy trains big pad, cover with a fitted sheet, then repeat!  It meant that if pee leaked out of the diaper over night adjust had to strip off a sheet, remove the soaked pad, and there was a clean, dry, and ready to go bedding right underneath! Perfect for those 2 am leaks!

I think 3 is plenty. However, I never let laundry sit long. 😊

3 is probably a good number! Hopefully baby doesn't need more than that in one night!

I had 4, maybe 5- don't think I really needed that many, but they were all baby shower gifts.

Depends on baby. My first born was a sickly baby and he used to go through 3-4 sheets a day and about 4-5 sleep suits a days too.

3 sheets is perfect for us! I've found that it's always nice to have a back up of the back up of anything because you just never know with an infant!

I have 6, somewhere. I have three I use all the time and three I can't find that is making me so angry lol. When we moved they disappeared.....

I've had the original 4 sheets for the past 2 years! I could probably get by with just 2.
