Bottom shot of the baby. Is that the "tail" or boy part? It looks kinda pointy so I think tailbone.

I had a three d ultrasound at 10 weeks which is what is pictured below my guess would be its its little tail:)

Boys tend to be a bit easier to notice; but at this point, even what your friend says would be a guess. The anatomy scan will come soon enough :) If you're super curious, ask a group of 4yr olds. My daughter told me our son was a boy, when was pregnant and when I would get a definite positive test, and that this time I am having twins. All correct. She is 4.

It's a genital tube. Boys and Girls both have this. Boys will elongate and turn into a penis and a girls will slowly disappear. Right now they all look the same. Google it. They'll give you more information about when it'll disappear.

That's what I've thought. My co worker is an ultrasound technician and she said she was able to tell the gender of her friends baby at 11 weeks.

It's too early to tell. Those parts aren't fully distinguishable until closer to 15wks.
