I ate tuna sandwiches for dinner am I okay ?

Hi I'm 12 weeks and 5 days and tonight I ate 2 tuna sandwiches for dinner (canned tuna) should I be okay or am I hurting my baby ?

My OB said no more than 12oz of tuna in a week. You should be fine :)

You should be fine. Regular chunk light tuna is actually good for you in moderation, but avoid albacore canned tuna. It has much higher mercury content.

Honestly you're fine. Look at any foods list and it says it's find in moderation. I find that people are much too over protective about what they eat when pregnant. For the most part as long as your food is fresh and cooked you can eat it. People stress them selfs out too much about what they are eating. Just relax and enjoy your tuna!

You're probably okay. Canned light tuna has been shown to be safe than other types of tuna (as it it doesn't contain mercury most of the time) but I wouldn't gamble too much with it. I switched to chicken salad sandwiches or other types of fish not containing Mercury.

Canned tuna has a lower Mercury contain than a lot of other fish. The recommendations I read said not to eat more than 12 oz per week, most cans are about 5 oz so you're fine.

You can have tuna like once a week and be perfectly fine.. I did with both of my kids and they came out perfect.

You're fine. Just don't eat canned tuna more than once a week because of the Mercury!
