Can you still do IUI if you have a UTI?

I am scheduled for my first ultrasound to see if my follicles are ready to give me the HCG trigger shot on Wednesday,  then we will do IUI the next 2 days after that. I seem to have developed a UTI. Symptoms started last night. Pain when urinating. The feeling that I have to pee even when I just got out of the bathroom. I'm so worried they won't do the IUI now because of the UTI. We spent so much money on all the fertility drugs already, and really want to do it this month. Any idea if they will still do the IUI when you have a UTI? Anyone been through this? Any advice, stories, or encouragement welcome. Thanks!

I had 3 IUIs and I don't believe a uti will stop them from doing it. Are you on any weird meds?? They just put the little thin tube past your cervix and squirt the sperm into you in under  1 min. The whole procedure is the 5 mins. Then leave you on the table for like 5 mins with your heiny in the air. I don't see why a uti would not let them do this.

I know this was a while ago but I'm in the same boat. what were your end results?

I would cancel until the infection clears up if it was me. I think an infection could affect implantation and it may not be successful. If you can save the medication you haven't used and not waste money on the actual iui that's what I would do. I did 7 IUIs and my insurance didn't cover any of it. After a few cycles it ends up being more expensive than ivf.

Advice for the uti plenty of fluids and cranberry juice helps if you don't want to take anything for it not from concentrate though has to be the good stuff hopefully help clear it up by Wednesday xx
