Electric or manual breast pump?

I was trying to find a breastfeeding group but didn't see one? Anyway, I just got a breast pump from the doctor (YAY) - it has everything I need to use with an electric breastpump, but it does include the manual pump as well. Surprisingly, I've heard a lot of people that prefer to pump manually, so I would love your thoughts before I go drop a few hundred dollars on the electric portion that I won't actually use. Thanks!
