Take them or leave them?

If you were to go on a honeymoon would you take your children with you or would you leave them with family/someone you know?

Depends on how old they are. My boyfriend and I will be taking our son since he will be less than a year old but if they are older like 9 then I would leave them.

For me, a honeymoon would be the *only* trip I would not take the kids with us.

We were supposed to go on our 10th anniversary trip this summer, but surprise! Baby #3 is due then. Lol. But, yeah, we would have dropped the kids off with one of the parental units. Honeymoons are for adults only! ;D

I agree with the other mom that it depends on the age. For me it would also depend on the length of the trip. I got remarried this past year. We only went away for the weekend. And my kids were 10, 7, and 5. They stayed with grandparents for the two nights. That was fine.  If we'd gone away for a week or more we would have taken them.

I did both!!!! We only got 2 days alone without our daughter (both his and mine) when on our "honeymoon".  We had to drive back to come and get her to finish off the rest of the few days we had

Ehh to me a honeymoon is time for you to escape for a little bit. My son and possible new baby would be staying with my mother or his for the duration of out honeymoon. I want to have that special time with my husband without kids or anyone else. It's hard to do what you want to do when you want to do it when you have children to pack along. Plus we are planning our honeymoon at a place where they do not allow children.

I wouldn't take my kids with us unless I didn't have someone trusted to take care of them. I'd be very wary of who's hands my children are in.

We are planning on going on a cruise and are currently saving money for it but If I have a baby before we get married i would probably put everything on hold till the child is old enough to be with my parents so we can enjoy our honeymoon.
