My family doesn't "like" him

So I've been dating my boyfriend for about 7 months. We have known each other for 6 years and have dated on and off since sophomore year(I'm 18). Back then, my parents didn't want me dating so what did I do? Hid it from them. And of course like any parent, they found out. Anyways, so now flash forward and we're dating again. And he proposed to me recently:). But the thing is, my parents don't approve of him. 1. Because they think he doesn't have anything going for him( which isn't true) 2. Because he's not Christian( which neither am I but they don't know that). So, it makes it so hard to talk to them about him. The only one who knows is my real dad. And he likes him. But, I'm so happy with him and I don't see myself with anyone else but him. What is your guy's advice to my situation? I just really want them to be ok with him and for me to feel comfortable bringing him around.
