On the 10th of January I headed in to hospital at 5pm to be induced because I had gestational diabetes. The ob put the gel in at 6.30pm. He only had to use half because my cervix was already favourable. Not long after that I started getting period pain like back ache. It progressively got worse and all they gave me was panadol and some heat packs. At about 2am I was in so much pain so they put the ctg on and found I was having regular contractions, I could still only feel it all in my back. At around 7 they took me to the birthing suite, I had an epidural was dilated to about a 4 and the ob broke my waters. I spent the next 9 hours in labour and my bAby boy Reuben Stanley was born at 5pm on the 11/1/16. He weighed spot on 7lbs and is absolutely perfect. I am so in love with him.
