Tired of irregularity..

I am so tired of having irregular periods.. I never know when it's going to come, could be sooner or could be 3 months later.. Trying to conceive is so difficult. I use opk's and I think I'm ovulating but then I read somewhere you can get an LH surge without actually ovulating..

My question is, does anyone else have this problem? And is there anything you've done or taken to regulate your cycles?
