Should I have my IUD removed?

I'm 17, 18 in less than two months and I've had an IUD for over a year now and I'm starting to want to take it out because I feel like I'm not giving life a fair chance. I feel like having an IUD is preventing life from deciding if I should be pregnant or not. Idk what to tell my boyfriend because he wants me to keep it so I don't get pregnant. But I feel like it's my decision and if I'm supposed to be pregnant than that's life. Idk what to do

What the hell...? "Life" isn't something that just happens to you. If you actively decided to fuck knowing that you're not using birth control, that's not "life" saying you should be pregnant, that's you deciding to not use birth control and having sex. That's you DECIDING that. If you keep your IUD and use protection, that's you DECIDING to do that. That's not something that's happening to you.

If you get pregnant, that's not because you were meant to get pregnant. If you are a healthy woman and you sleep with a healthy man, sex leads to pregnancy. That's not some cosmic design. That's how sperm and eggs work.

It's SO not fair to refuse to use protection because of some twisted view that you have. That would be your boyfriend's child as well. That's like a guy telling a girl that he refuses to wear a condom because if she gets pregnant, it was meant to be. Sounds pretty rapey when you turn it around now doesn't it?

It would be your boyfriends baby just as much yours. Yes you would be carrying & giving birth but the baby would still need a father. Discuss with him how you feel and see what he says
