2nd child baby shower?

I'm pregnant with my second child and we aren't sure what we are having yet. I was wondering how many of you had a baby shower for your second child? I've been told people don't do a second baby shower at all but I really want one.

Depends on your situation. I'm having one for this baby #2, but it's been 7 years since my last kiddo and this is a different marriage, so I don't have baby stuff anymore and it's a whole new group of people!

I'm having one this time around mainly because it's my fiances first child. But also only registering for bare essentials nothing big

Most people only have 1 shower. . You could do something like a meet and greet potluck or something maybe? And if people want to bring gifts thwy are welcome to but it isnt an obligation. . This is my first but I'm not sure how'd I feel about a friend having a second baby shower if they children where close in age, my gift would probably reflect that ot be truthful.

I am haveing baby #2. And am planning on haveing a shower. My other child is 9. And this is a different relationship.  So I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Everyone will have their own opinion. But in the end it's up to u. Each situation is different.

If they're different genders I'd have one. A couple girls I know had boys the first time and girls the second time. They called their second showers 'sprinkles'.

I've had two girls and had a baby shower for both. This is my last and a boy and I'm having another baby shower. There's no problem with having another baby shower, it's a different child.

I'm having a baby shower for my second ( they are 12 years apart though) but I have heard it called a baby sprinkle instead of shower cuz most people have kids closer together so they assume you've kept stuff and don't need as much. Either way it's a baby I say celebrate
