What are normal ranges for A1c? I'm a diabetic and I just got the results from my blood work back. My A1c is 11.7! I'm not sure what normal ranges are but I'm thinking that pretty high. My Dr. has me on Metformin 500 mg2x's a day which seems low to me. Are there any other Diabetics that can give me some insight on what is the 'norm' as far as far as A1c levels and Metformin dosages..
