Emergency room without insurance?

Does anyone know of you can go to the ER without insurance and just call them with the policy number? I think ive over stressed myself out about an issue I had early and now I'm really crampy.

They can assist you in applying for HPE (hospital presumptive eligibility) right there at the hospital if you don't have insurance. They will tell you immediately if you qualify and you will have temporary coverage. If you already have a pending medicaid application, there are some hospital staff there that can call central files to check your pending case and can even assist with retro eligibility if needed. Worst case scenario - you get a 10,000 bill, ask for a payment assistance/charity application and you will get the whole balance written off.

You can be seen in the ER without insurance. Especially being pregnant. If you get insurance afterwards most times they'll cover the cost of your ER visit if you send the insurance company the bill.
