Am I in early labor?

I've been having what I *think* are contractions, every 8-10 minutes for about 35 seconds each since I started timing at 7:30 this morning. Should I call my doctor? I'm just not sure if they actually ARE contractions! Due date is on the 30th.

If they don't go away with activity or lack of activity , then there's a good chance its early labor. Never hurts to call your doctor :)

Just wait to see if they get stronger and closer. They may be early contractions and they may not be. Your dr most likely won't be able to tell.

I thought I was having gas pains or I was dehydrated when my contractions started. They didn't feel like what everyone was describing them as. Went to the doctor, and I was in full blown labor! My contractions weren't consistent but she was well on her way. My water hadn't broken- they had to break it at the hospital...call your doctor!!

Contractions can start and stop. I wouldn't call anyone until they are very painful or your water breaks.
