All natural birth??

I'm trying to decide if I want to go all natural, but all I ever see is negative things about it??? Ladies who have given birth all natural no pain meds let me know how it was please!!!!!!

All natural and hopefully can do it again with my 2nd due in June :-) 7 hour labour no pain relief at all, what helped me most was being in the shower! Didn't tear and baby was perfectly healthy. As soon as bub came out I felt great and got up and had a shower before showing him off to all of the family :-) I had a super quick recovery aswell. People told me I wouldn't be able to handle the pain and I proved them wrong.. Our bodies are made for it! Good luck! x

I am very much leaning toward going all natural as well. This is my first and I am very nervous though. I am not going to rule out an epidural because there is no way to predict what the experience will be like. Either way, I am not going to beat myself up. Do what works for you honey, if you need some help, don't feel guilty. What matters is getting that baby in your arms :) whatever it takes :)

I went natural and wouldn't change a thing. I was able to move freely and find a position that worked for me (which was rocking on my elbows and knees). I believe that made for a much shorter labor. I was able to get up and shower very soon after she was born. Many people told me I was crazy for wanting to try and that I wouldn't be able to do it, and it felt great to know that they were wrong and that I did it!

Yes, you can do it!! Believe in yourself! I did and it felt great to tell all those "doubting debbies " i did it unmedicated!! Trust in yourself, your body and the process!! You got this!!💪🏾

I had every intention on getting an epidural because I am not good with pain at all..I went too fast and couldn't get it, my daughter was 7lb 15oz and I had her completely natural, episiotomy and sewed back up..it hurts like hell, but its worth it..you don't even feel the cut or sewing if you need it..I'm going to try to do it natural again with this baby...you'd be surprised with what you can handle. Don't let anyone talk you out of it if that's what you want to do. I have family that knows I did it before and are still trying to talk me out of it because they didn't go natural..its annoying. Be strong mamas!

Two girls, both natural. One at home and one in water at a birth center. Is it painful? Yes. Can you do it? YES. My friends with epidurals all complained that it was still the most painful thing anyway. Be prepared and take a natural birth class, like The Bradley Method. You can do it!

I used to think I wasn't trying to be a hero and I'd take pain relief. Epidural a scare me but maybe an IV would be fine. After watching Business of Being Born it has changed my perspective on natural birth and I'm no longer afraid of it. I have confidence in my body and I want to be aware of the whole experience. Plus I don't like to take any drugs in general so it all kinda makes sense.

I know the feeling! I've been thinking about this since my last pregnancy (unfortunately I miscarried in September) but, I just had a positive test on Friday! 😊 For me, water has always been my "soother" so I was thinking of trying a water birth with no pain medication unless absolutely necessary! It definitely terrifies me, but I want a healthy baby and the drugs they pump into your system scare me!
