Flu shot, Tdap(whooping cough), or both?

I have my 35 week check up on 1/28. Debating on which to get. What did you choose and why?

I got both because I always get the flu shot anyway, and the tdap shot can transfer to the baby so they are protected until their first vaccinations. That was enough for me to get it.

My MIL doesn't think she needs it and refuses to get a Tdap because she had kidney problems as well as diabetes. I'm just concerned because she gets sick a lot i.e. Cough and cold and she will be the one around our son the most. Opinions??

My husband and I are both in the military and never have an option of not getting the flu shot even while I'm pregnant, we both agreed if we got it our 4yr old should probably get it too since my husband got the live virus nasal. We've done this since she was a baby and never have had an issue. TDAP should be with every pregnancy, I would never put my child at risk of getting the whooping cough if there's something to prevent it.

I got both and so did my husband. I'm also requiring grandparents to get the Tdap as my dad had whooping cough a few years ago and it's extremely scary and I'm not risking it.
