Imagine that this boy is scared being in a new place and confused!

I would first advise her to stop exaggerating.

And then I would advise her to have a little compassion.

I would tell her she is lucky to have a two year old in her care that wants to be held. I'm lucky if my son will sit on my lap for five minutes he's to busy and honestly the boy is probably frightened that mommy and daddy and the home he was in isn't there. Gee lady he's a two year old not a 22 year old

I don't think she's totally out of line by asking this question. I three was two months I could understand needing to be held all the time but there definitely has to be some boundaries with a two-year-old. For the first little bit being understanding and cuddling is great, but they have to also help the child foster some independence and be able to be on his own even just to play and not being picked up all the time.

I think she needs to speak to a child councilor and figure out what to do. Some children never want to be put down at all. They even want to play with any and all toys while sitting in an adults lap. I'm sure this woman gets little house work done and little me time. Yes she still needs me time every one with children needs a little time to relax. Asking women on here will get you no where considering every comment I have read is bashing this poor woman for seeing this child have attachment issues that need to be addressed now.

If you have temporary custody of a 2 year old, something intense is going on in that kids life. The best thing anyone could give him is all the holding and cuddles they could muster.

Look up the attachment theory and find ways for him to slowly "detach" from being so attached (if that's the right way). U can use therapeutic techniques
