So FTM here, due March 17th. My mom and mother in law are throwing me a baby shower! At first I didn't want to do a registry, I just wanted to let people get me what they wanted or thought was best...but my mom insisted that I make one and reassured me that usually every one does. Well I started one but became overwhelmed very quickly...I don't know what babies need or what I need! So I gave my mom the password to my registry and asked her if she would help add some things I'll need...haha she did that and more! There's sooo much stuff on there and most of it are things I really will need that I never even thought of, so I'm very greatful that she's helping me, however she's added a couple really expensive and big things like a $140 crib, $60 baby bouncer thing, $160 baby carrier (which I'll admit I really want) so my question is this: is it appropriate to have really expensive items on a registry or is that rude? Is it ok that I'm asking for a crib, or is that my responsibility as a parent to buy one? Can anyone that's had a baby shower or made their registry already give me some insight? Thank you!
