How long did you wait to have sex?

3 weeks postpartum and I've felt fine for awhile just curious how long everyone else wait.

Even if you feel fine it's good to wait until your dr tells you it's okay just because the main reason you're given a timeline is because your cervix is still open until between 4-6 weeks and you can get a serious bacterial infection in your cervix if you don't wait until it's closed

3 weeks for me I felt fine and I was ready

I waited 2 wks with my first, felt fine. Had an orgasm. Waited three weeks with my second, felt even better than my previous pp experience. No stitches or tearing. No vaginal discomfort or pain. I was cleared by my dr at 4wks pp and told them i had sex when i did... they both said it's a pretty miniscule chance that I'd get an infection, esp w condoms, and that generally once you haven't bled for 3 or more days your cervix is good to go. Both drs said as long as i listened to my body (stopping if there was any pain or sudden bleeding at all) thats the most important part.

5 weeks but Dr said at 4 weeks appointment that 3 weeks would have been ok and yes I had stitches . I was sore after we have only done it twice both times I was a little sore nothing major.

Wondering this too. I wonder if these ladies had stitches or not that answered. I had to get stitches. Not sure how long those take to dissolve.

No Bueno I'm in a lot of pain still at 6 weeks /: either it influenced it or my year was really awful

I'm almost four weeks and I can still feel my stiches ... They still are very uncomfortable

8 weeks.. I wasn't in a rush and I didn't want to get an infection bc I wasn't healed
