Fertility Doctor Prices
We have been a year TTC for a year now. Decided to start seeing a fertility doctor in November who did the normal tests (bloodwork. vaginal ultrasounds, pregnancy tests, more bloodwork etc etc etc).
I was told insurance word cover a percentage of our bills, but that percentage couldn't be determined at the time of my first visit.
Last night, after four visits and a couple blood tests, I opened the first bill. I was in shock. When my husband got home, he asked what was wrong. I told him to look at the bill --- $4,000!!! He started to question me. He started yelling at me. He wondered why I continued to go if it wasn't going to be covered. I burst into tears.
And I told him to shut up. I told him to remember that WE want that baby. But it's completely unreasonable for anyone to expect to pay that kinda money to 'potentially' get pregnant.
Just curious how much anyone else has had to pay for fertility doctors... And what did it include?
