1st time moms and when they go into labor?

i've always heard that first time moms typically go into labor early But i was just wondering if you have all heard the same thing. aWhat have you all heard or experienced?

Iv heard first time moms go past their due date. Interesting!! I don't know if there's any truth to either !

I heard that labor is hard and long for first time moms! I was scared to deliver my first lol not what I expected ! It was a short and sweet labor!!! I say don't listen to people. Find out on your own :)  I thought every horror story was going to happen to me :-/. Not the case :)

I think the average for FTM is 41 weeks. That's what I've read anyway! I'm hoping it's true for me! I'd like to go a little further into April! Lol I'm due April 3!

I've heard ftm go into labor later. 2nd time moms go into labor early. But everyone is different.

My first was 15 days over due, it is more common to go over with your first and early with your 2nd. Xx

With my first my estimated due date was July 19th...he came July 17th...I labored at home for 6 hrs...got to the hospital hadn't even dilated...but b/c my contractions were 3 minutes apart and very strong they admitted me...10 hrs later I had my son...

No not true. My advice to you is don't go in right away.. wait a little otherwise if it's a long labor you could be there for a long time.

Our DD came naturally at 37wks and 6 days as did my twin sister's DD only 1.5yrs earlier. It all depends on the baby. We are both on baby #2 right now... me obviously in April and her in Sept (she told us she was trying to get preggo without telling her hubby... we know it was going to happen since we told her we were preggo as she always has to compete with us)
