Do you believe that everything happens for a reason?

Today I missed two buses and was pretty cranky, I just wanted to get to where I was going to have a cup of coffee. Then, on the third bus, I met a tourist who had been on it for three hours because she was afraid if she got off, she wouldn't make it back on. I explained to her how the buses worked since no one else had, and she was so grateful. I think I was meant to help her. Do you believe things happen for a reason?
