So I had an OB appointment yesterday. Since I'd still been having contractions on and off my doc decided to check me and I'm 1 ½ cm dilated (at 32 weeks 1 day) so she sent me to the hospital to be monitored and receive the first steroid shot (geez those burn like crazy! When the nurse said "it might burn a little" she was putting it nicely. After 3 hours hooked up to the monitor I got to go home after only having 1 contraction. So I went back today to be monitored again and get the second shot. I had 3 contractions since I left yesterday and the nurse said that was good and the doctor wasn't concerned about that number. The doctor didn't want to check me again because she doesn't want to cause more contractions so I don't know if I dialated any more. The baby's heart rate has been good both days on the monitor. I go back to the doc next Thursday. Just praying I don't go into labor before then and that I can hold the little man in for another 5 weeks at least so he will be full term! Any other moms at 32ish weeks going through this? It's so nerve wracking! I only got about 3 hours of sleep last night and I start crying everytime I think about anything being wrong with our baby! Any other moms who had babies this early and can give me an idea of what to expect if he would be to come between 32 and 37 weeks? Please let there be someone who was having random contractions and 1 cm dilated but still held out until full term!!!
