Idk😦

So my child's father left me while I'm pregnant and didn't want anything to do with me.I then run into a schoolmate ,who now knows my situation and still considers being in my life. The thing is,he just had a baby a few months ago and his BM won't let him see the kid.He has done everything he could to see his daughter,he's tried calling(blocked),buying things,but nothing has worked . He wants nothing to do with the BM ,but me honestly, I would rather him be with her because they have a family and I would want the same for my kid ,but he still insists to be with me...I like him ,I really do. It's been 4 months since I've heard from my child's father ...So what should I do...I really need help!?
